Stop 1 of 26
One of two pubs left on Old Kent Road — a street that once had 39. The Lord Nelson is Grade II listed and on CAMRA's National Inventory, which means the Victorian interior is the real deal: a massive gilded mirror depicting Admiral Nelson at the Battle of Cape Vincent in 1797, made by James Carter of Gray's Inn Road around 1888, and an impressive timber arcade across the servery. It opens at 11am, and you'll want to be in and out quickly to bank time for later. Other Monopoly groups will be starting here too — say hello, you'll be leapfrogging each other all day. Get a photo under the Old Kent Road sign, then grab a Lime bike for the ride across Tower Bridge.
